Sunday Morning the 23rd of May---

Marky is feeling "crappy" again.

James gave him his Methatrexate shot Friday night.--He gets it in the muscle
of his thigh ! Youchey

By Saturday afternoon, he started to wilt.

I try to ask him what his symptoms are, but he cant really describe it.

Just "crapppy".

He stayed home from school on tuesday, because he had a bad sore throat,
called us to come get him thursday , mid-day, cause he felt crappy, but
made it through Friday's school day.

Dont know what to make of it all.

Just roll with the flow, i guess.

Maybe he starts to feel a little "yucky" and memories of PCMC flood into
his delicate little brain, and he freaks?

He doesnt say so, and doesnt seem jittery about anything or anxious, but
maybe HE has some anxiety about the past few months, like I do ?

I deal with mine by , oh....... indulgences of all kinds, ie. chocolate, dietcoke, anything .....

Maybe he deals with his anxiety with "crappy"-ness. ? ?

What do you guys think? Im open for suggestions and wisdom from
my "Marky Buddy's" ?????

Chronic illness in kids = crappy days sometimes. At least that's my experience. I think it's something that just has to be accepted as the new normal. Sigh. Sorry I can't be more insightful. Love you guys.

Maybe you should have him rate his crappiness on a scale of 1-10. Is he showing signs of angry-ness? I would be angry if I had been through what he has.

Read this on-line: "The most frequently reported adverse reactions to methotrexate injections include ulcerative stomatitis, leukopenia, nausea, and abdominal distress. Other frequently reported adverse effects are malaise, undue fatigue, chills and fever, dizziness and decreased resistance to infection." Pretty sure they should have added "crappiness" too. Hope it changes to "happiness" soon! Love ya!

Mark is at least, riding a pretty cool "Bikes for Kids" new bike! I think once we get some consistent warm weather and sunshine, Mark will feel a little better. He certainly looks more like he used too.

He rode the Harley all the way from Dead Horse Point to down town Moab and I am sure that will do a great deal to heal the "Mayonnaise" Cathy Wallace talks about along with those other big word issues.

Love from Ken
