Yeah, that's right....Marky got bullied at school !

They came at him from behind and jumped him.  Landed head first on the asphalt.

He's got a pretty impressive goose egg.  And a very stiff neck from the whiplash of doing a head plant without time to put his hands out to brace the fall.

"Pappa Bear" and "Momma Bear" and "Big brother Bear" are pretty upset !

School principle loves Marky, as you could imagine, from the last couple of years of his history.  So she is handling the whole thing with extra concern.

We will see how it all plays out.   Meantime, Marky is home resting..watching John Wayne movies, starting with "The Green Beret's" !   "True Grit" is next in cue!

Song from the Hollies: He aint heavy he's my brother. Sing it in your heart as you view these pics !

chest scar, belly scar

But I'm strong. Strong enough to carry him. He aint heavy, he's my brother. If I'm laden at all, I'm laden with the gladness of love for one another.

Together, we win !

The road is long, with many a winding turn that leads us to who knows where, who knows when.

But I'm strong, strong enough to carry him. He aint heavy, he's my brother.

Jo carrying Marks feeding bag, took 4 hrs to feed him.

His welfare is of my concern. Nor burden is he to bear, We'll get there.

Jo carrying Mark's  IV pic line "feed bag"

He aint heavy, he's my brother. We'll get there I know, he would not encumber me.

It's a long long road. While we're on the way to there, why not share

Here's some stuff I've found out over the last 7 years--
( not in any particular order, but maybe chronological, starting with James breaking his neck, and Sam being born)

::You should always answer your phone even if it's a strange #. --it could be a hospital trying to identify their "John Doe" that's just been in a car wreck.

::Seeing your husband finally recognize you after he's been in an amnesia cycle for 8 hrs. is like winning the lottery.

::Just because your baby isnt "normal" (and normal is relative, isnt it?)  doesnt mean he's not "Perfect".

::You don't need a ton of presents under your Christmas tree to have the most memorable Christmas ever.

::You don't need couches, chairs, kitchen tables, harps, etc. to have a happy home.  (Bean bags are much more fun!)

::You don't need food purchased from "Costco" to sustain life !  Bishop's storehouse food is just as good, when you need it!

::You don't need  "new" clothes all the time,  hand me down's are more loved anyways.

::Watching a child with Down's syndrome take his first steps at age 2 and a half or 3 yrs old is like winning the lottery.

::Having a 17 yr old son who's never been in jail, or dropped out of school and who says his prayers daily, and who shepherds his brothers without complaint and is just an all around GREAT guy, is a huge blessing.

::Watching your other son take his first sip of "Creme Soda" after not eating or drinking for 2 months is also like winning the lottery !

::Bringing that son home from the hospital after months of suffering to an entire neighborhood of yellow ribbons and a parade of hundreds lining the street, is proof that "it takes a village".

::Countless acts of charity and kindness by known and UNknown friends are humbling and bring tears overflowing with those memories.

::Our loving Father above knows our pain and sorrows.  He communicates with us even when we think he can't possibly hear us and we've given up.  He see's our "worth" when we feel we have none.

....Someone recently inquired...

"What can I do for you, what do you need?"

After reading these last few phrases of mine and seeing my "fortune" and "riches".....

The question I ask of YOU...

"What do YOU need?  What can I do for YOU?"

Did I mention....

That I really appreciate all of your comments on Marky's blog ?

Some days I go back and read through all your encouraging words and pep talks !

Brings a smile to my face, and warms my soul.

Some of you "commenters" are anonymous and I dont even know who you are.

One of Marky's "commentor's" of late, whom I cant figure out their identity,  is reading through older posts and commenting on em !

It's fun going back and reminiscing past escapades.  Okay, fun is not always the best descriptive word for some of our past "tour's of duty".  But reading your comments from those times re-energizes me today.

Thank you for helping me realize so many gifts.  Especially your friendship.

Life's tough most of the time.

With occasional "blue skies" mixed in, I can and WILL conquer.

My "blue skies" are all of you....friends and family.

Love to all.
